3/13/2023 0 Comments Hearts of iron 5 releaseI admit I don't know how this would be implemented in the game. A dynamic frontline would mean parts of Stalingrad either belong to the Germans and Soviets. HOI can't simulate that because the Germans would have to FULLY control Stalingrad. It would also make sense for other scenarios like Stalingrad where much of the city was under German control but there still was resistance inside plus Soviet reinforcements arriving through the Volga and meeting German defenses in the river bank. I'm pretty sure enough attackers would be able to hold and occupy enough percentage of the island. But in HOI as soon as the enemy fleet comes in, all your invading force is destroyed or forced to flee in transports. The invading units should be owning territory on the island. I also think this system would help in the Pacific/naval invasions because I always found them to be flawed in HOI. Even if you are close to entering the next province, you can Stop them or change directions and they would instantly start from the center again. Same with moving units to different provinces. But as soon as you halt the attack, your units instantly are back at the center of their province. I always found it rather weird that lets say you're attacking Stalingrad and the arrows even show that you're getting closer and closer inside the province as the arrow fills up. I think I'll start with one for now and it's one of the biggest change I want to see from HOI5 is a 'Dynamic Frontline'. That fixes most problems like that. Before you say: "FIX HOI4 FIRST!!!!l" This is just a fun wishlist and for things that will likely NOT appear in HOI4. If you have a non-standard checksum-although you don't have mods enabled that change it-try clicking on the "Clear user directory" button in the launcher. (Otherwise you won't have the same checksum and therefore it won't work.) If you want to play multiplayer with mods that change the checksum you need to make sure that all the involved parties use the same checksum-changing mods. On the top of this page you can read what's the correct checksum for the version you use.įor multiplayer you usually want the standard checksum as well, since one can only play with people who have the same checksum. For all intents and purposes this is the relevant checksum.įor achievements it's important to have the standard checksum in-game, which in turn depends on which version of the game you use. (Note that not all mods affect the checksum.) You can see the final checksum in-game under the main menu when you load the game (it's also referred to as the in-game checksum). The final checksum can be changed by the debug launch option and mods that you have enabled. The four characters that are displayed in parentheses after the version number are the checksum. The vanilla checksum can be seen in the bottom right corner of the launcher. The steps listed above will not work for versions released before October 1st, 2018 please use the How To Roll-back Your Game Version. This can allow you to continue to play a game that started in a previous version, if your game is not compatible with the currently released version, or you have technical problems in the current version. One for versions that are from before the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) changes and one for versions that are after.
